Student Recreation

Stay active, relieve stress, and connect with other students through Campus Recreation! Whether you’re joining a fitness class, playing intramural sports, or just looking for a fun way to move, there’s something for everyone—no matter your experience level.

The Department of Physical Education and Wellness is committed to helping our campus community—students, faculty, and staff—embrace an active, balanced lifestyle. Through our wellness initiatives and recreation programs, you can build strength, friendships, and lifelong healthy habits.

Our Ralph King Athletic Centre is the heart of campus fitness, featuring a fully equipped fitness and weight training centre, gymnasium, soccer field, and athletic equipment for student use. The Centre also brings students together for activities like cross-country running, skiing, and outdoor education programs that take advantage of Edmonton’s stunning North Saskatchewan River Valley—with access to 22 major parks and over 150 km of trails.

Whether you’re training for competition, joining a drop-in game, or discovering a new activity, recreation at CUE helps you balance academics with wellness while having fun.
