Coverage Period
The following is the period during which the CUESA Health and Dental Plans protects you.

You may be able to opt out of this plan if you can provide proof of equivalent coverage by the application deadline.
Health & Dental Opt-Out
You may be eligible to opt out of the CUESA Health & Dental Plans if you have proof of comparable coverage (Alberta Health Care is not considered comparable coverage). If you have already opted out of the plan in previous years you do not need to opt out again.
Health and Dental Plan Opt-Out
The Opt-Out process is one time for Health and Dental only, you do not need to submit an opt-out application every term/year.
For the Legal Care Program and Virtual Health Care
Coverage period is for 12 months based on the term you are charged the fees.

You may choose to opt-out, in the term you are charged the fees, no comparable alternative coverage required. This opt out does not carry forward and if you do not wish to be enrolled, you must apply to opt out each year in the same term you are charged the fees.
